My go to Gear and equipment

CAMERA BODY - NIKON D3X

This is my main camera body I use. I’ve been using it for about 3 years, and in that time I’ve taken 150,000 pictures with it. Looking at the photos I get with my camera, you’d never realize the camera is more than 13 years old. It was the highest resolution digital camera ever produced when it was released, and it still holds its own today.

TRipod head-manfrotto 410

I love using this tripod head because it’s extremely stable, and the quick release mechanism is efficient.

Tripod-Manfrotto 754

These tripod legs are the most stable legs I’ve ever used. They aren’t cheap, but they’re super durable, can hold plenty of weight, and have a leveling half ball on the top that is super helpful when doing landscapes or panoramas in combination with my tripod head. These legs held my camera up when a massive wave crashed over it at the tide pools, and the whole thing didn’t move an inch. With this tripod, I never have to worry about how stable my camera is when I set it up somewhere for a shoot.

NIKKOR 70-200MM F/2.8 VR

This has to be my favorite lens to use. I use it for taking portraits, photos of cars, landscapes, sports, there is nothing this lens can’t do. Even though it’s heavy, I still carry it around everywhere I go.

NIKKOR 24-70 F/2.8

This is the only other lens I’m never caught without. The 24-70 is a legendary focal range for a reason. Anything the 70-200 can’t do, the 24-70 can. It doesn’t have image stabilization, but I don’t think it needs to, and that helps make the lens lighter weight.

LOWEPRO PHOTO SPORT 200 AW BACKPACK

I use this backpack to carry my gear everywhere. I can carry my D3X, my 70-200, my 24-70, and anything else I might need while I’m out and about. It has a hip strap to take the heavy weight of all my gear off my shoulders, and it’s my go-to backpack whenever I go out to take photos.
